My primary research interest is Energy Operations Management. My dissertation will focus on energy topics. Energy is a fast-changing field, with current focuses on renewables, sustainability, distributed energy resources, and modernizing utility policies.
My secondary research interest is Behavioral Operations. Traditional economic models often fail when actual human decision making is examined. By studying how people actually make decisions, we can structure more effective and resilient systems and policies.
I believe that Sports-Based Research is a fun way to learn analysis methods and gain insights into everyday operations management. I have many ideas for research projects that would be perfect for students interested in furthering their analytical capabilities.
Occasionally I will have a research project that doesn’t fall cleanly into the above topics. They can be found here.
Old school and internship projects that exhibit the range of mathematics can be found here.
